It was one of the coolest daily comic strips of all time, featuring characters such as Bill the Cat, Opus the penguin, Milo, Steve Dallas, Oliver (the computer whiz).

Artistically, it resembed Doonesbury, but it was a very different comic strip (though it did ocassionally poke fun at politics, as Doonebury often does). If you ever come across a Bloom County book in a store, browse through it (or buy it).
