I saw them together, almost all the time. He was teaching her how to battle, not to give mercy to anyone, like the vermin he was! And I watched her fight a band of rebels on the island of Sampetra, killing several. And my heart stopped. I had never seen Chama kill anyone with that dagger of hers, and here she was, stabbing away and laughing the whole time. And I knew what I had to do.
After the battle, they had a feast in that large tower. I snuck in, knocking out the guards at the door with my battleaxe. But one of them wasn't completely knocked out, and he yelled out an alarm. I hid in a broom closet, and waited until they had all gone outside, knowing that Chama and her newfound mate were in with Ublaz, as Chama's mate was the pine marten's rightpaw beast. I opened the broom closet door and slipped downt the hall, heading up the stairs...
