He trs to push them behind some tables. The he stumbles backwards, knocking the tables more. Quickly her grabbed to meat knives on the table and tossed one to each of the girls, before letting his own wrist knives loose. Suddenly something occured to him; just because Lily opened the portal didn't mean that whatever came through it wouldn't hurt her. One thought crossed his mind as he jumped over the table between him and Lily and it was something along the lines of a taunting; look how this towns changed me, me acting hero...he would have laughed, except having a menacing demon coming through an unknown portal kind of put a damper on things. He grabbed Lily's arm roughly, in no mind to be gentle, and hauled her behind him kicking a couple chairs between him and her. He had an idea that he could use if he had to and he was hoping they'd be out of range...

((OCC-I was thinking if the demon comes out and all, maybe Briar will let the demon in him take control and fight the other, blah blah blah. Anyways, just something I was thinking about.))
