Author: Lord Lye-Onitron
Subject: Lord Lye-Onitron stepped out of his office into the waiting room.
In reply to: Senator Hegemon 's message, "Senator Hegemon, 2nd Seat of Phi Room," on 07:38:15 06/27/01 Wed

Hegemon sat fuming in one of the uncomfortable chairs while Kit lay curled up in the window, seemingly asleep but the lord knew better. She was a trained professional and although she was very attractive and sometimes looked clueless, she could kill someone in a heartbeat. She was extremely vigilant, and when necessary, a perfect judge of non-verbal communication. She took notes of others actions and made sure to dictate her impressions to Lord Lye-Onitron when asked in the privacy of his office. He made sure to take her everywhere he went. Assassination plots abounded in the street and senate of Cybertron--with Kit by his side he would not fall prey to them.

Not that he trusted her implicitly. Lord Lye-Onitron trusted no one. It was part of his nature. Just as much it was part of his nature to use every one of his resources to push policy along.

Which of course led to Hegemon.

The predacon was vicious, loud, obnoxious, opinionated, acidic, deadly, and a fool. He carried his opinions (and his heart) on his sleeve and he was a slob. None had entered his office, but all knew that it was a mess devoid of any reason and calm. Many had heard the temper tantrums that the Senator had thrown and many had laughed when hearing them. If there was one easily baited person in all of Cybertron, it was Senator Hegemon, 2nd Seat, Phi Room. Why, the fool didn't even have connections in the Merchant's Affiliation. He bought, actually bought, things from the street peddlers and maintained communication with some of the locals…as friends! Not as a spy network! Not as pre-planned plants! But as friends! The utter audacity boggled the mind.

Sometimes Lord Lye-Onitron wondered if Hegemon was a cunning strategist, so cunning that none of the Senators looked beyond his angry exterior. But then he would change his mind knowing that he has never doubted himself in the past and he would not begin to do so any time soon.

He didn't say a word to Hegemon, simply smiled and offered his hand. Hegemon ignored him and stormed out of the office ahead of Lord Lye-Onitron. Kit lightly jumped off the window sill and followed Lord Lye-Onitron out the door heading towards the restaurant.
