This game is realistic. The lead stallion can mate with whatever mares are in heat, not like wolf packs where only the alphas mate. Herds do have lead mares, but that is decided by the mares not by the stallion. Stallions will have "favorites" in a herd, but they will mate with all their mares not just one. Also next time you have a question please leave your name, and ask a little more kindly, I do not like people who speak to me rudely>:(
