Dunny is Guilty for Mrs. Dempster...as she got hit by the snowball meant to be for Dunny. He is also guilty for Paul's premature birth. He feels that he must help them Dempsters in any way he can, as a repayment. Even when he is old, he takes care of the aging Mrs. Dempster. And he even keeps her ashes once she dies, because he still cannot let her (and the things that he caused to her) go.
