Subject: Better to burn out, than to fade away?

I will now display my poor grasp of Arizona geography by inquiring of existi and sleepy cookie if the fires are anywhere near Phoenix, and if so, are you both okay?

In other news, we had a police standoff in my general neighborhood last night, a few houses away from where I usually wait for the bus in the morning. And all this time I never knew I was that close to some old nut with a handgun. Go me! mmm....I should go check my local news and see how that ended. Maybe if the dude's been arrested I won't have to walk to the next stop.....

pardon me, must go look. Oh, and y'know, it being almost 4pm, lunch might be good too.
