Subject: Well, damn.

On a much less serious and earthshaking note than Silver's post, I just got verbal confirmation from Support staff that my mp3 player, for which I have finally amassed enough Compact Flash cards to matter, has managed to transform itself into a non-working piece of crap in the short space of two years. You gotta love efficiency.

Me: So, it's just a piece of crap and I need a new one?
Tech person: Yes, sorry. It's definitely time for a replacement.

I am peeved. NOTHING uses Compact Flash anymore. And I think I'm one of the few people left in continental North America without a CD burner.
