Well see, the reason the sudden piercing urge is wierd is that my roommate had tried to convince me to get a belly-piercing some years ago (she was getting a less-discussable piece done) and we had a rip-roaring argument over it because I most expressly didn't want one. I almost never wear midriff-exposing clothes, and the silly thing would just get in the way of every waistband of every pair of pants I own. Too much trouble for something that would just be invisibly annoying.

Maybe I'm just getting a head-start on the whole mid-life crisis thingy. All them corporate mouthings of that "proactive" word must have had an effect after all!
