Because it's Sunday morning, and I'm bored, here's my own tale of supposed-to-be-cutesy advertising sending the wrong message:

American airlines sent out these promotional flyers, I'm assuming to everyone in Chicago because the event advertised involves flying from the stupid city. The gimmick with this flyer is that if you fold here and push out those things there, you can make a paper airplane replica of an American Airlines plane. Why not, I thought. It's better than all the other crap I have to do today.

So I finished my little airplane and had the strange urge to fly on American Airlines. I threw (flew?) my creation, expecting a glorious flight no other paper airplane could match... and the plane flew a short arc and plunged, nose-down, to the ground. I tried again. Another doomed flight.

So I wonder, are they trying to send conflicting messages here, or am I just clueless making paper airplanes?
