"Classified" reports do not generally find their way into the hands of major news outlets. From what I remember my dad telling me after working for a defense contractor for over a quarter-century and designing fun stuff like nuclear subs, it takes about ten years for new weapons advances to become declassified, if they ever do. (Some stuff doesn't.) I'll bet you dollars to donuts they're reporting just what the Pentagon wanted them to.

All that means, of course, is that they've probably had the capability to build small nuclear devices for a decade or more now, and the prototypes at least already probably exist. Remember, a couple months back there were stories that bin Laden was trying to get his hands on the materials to build pretty much the same thing. If he can do it, you can be sure we've already got the blueprints somewhere.

So we're no closer to dying than we were yesterday, or will be tomorrow, really. Granted, violence can strike at any time, but I don't think this story is meant to do much more than send obscure diplomatic signals and make rednecks go out and stimulate the economy by buying more beer so they can drunkenly yell, Gobless Americuh! (gobless? what's a gob?!?)

Good news or bad news? ....you decide.
