...not even close.

Rick the birthday boy is thinking of traveling up from the South [FL]. Try to get a crew together, pick the person with the most reliable car and share the driving.

I thought of flying from Maine. Flights are cheap, but -- by the time you drive to the airport, pay for parking, get through security, then the flight or a connecter gets delayed and you sit in an airport for god knows how long exhausted and needing a nap, take off [delayed again], chat with the nice middle eastern man in the next seat feeling guilty for wondering if he's a terrorist, land, look for your luggage [which may or may not be lost], deal with airport security again, rent a car at the airport and drive it to rural PA -- its just as fast and a whole lot less tiring and annoying to forget the friggin' plane and just drive.

I am doing a two-day run with an overnight in MA -- and an option for an overnight in upstate NY on the way back if we're too beat to drive in one shot all the way from PA back to MA.

Hope to see you there.
