Subject: Hepfest Media Update

I just got a call from WNBT AM&FM. They have offered to sell us either 30 or 60 second spots on the radio for the weekend of Hepfest. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. It is $7.00 for a 30 second spot. For every one we buy, they will give us a free one. Soooo, what I'd love from you guys, are ideas about what we can put into a 30 or 60 second spot. The 60 second spots are around $9.00. If we buy 5 spots for $35.00, they will do it 10 times.

So what can we say?? Help please.

Just found out we are going to go live on "Coffee Break with John" that will air on Friday. Now if Patsy and Rattie and I can get our mouths to work, we just may be able to do some good.

[> [> Yanno, I was driving with Patrick and talking about the Hepfest -- Patsy, 18:20:05 05/07/02 Tue (Toronto-HSE-ppp3670696.sympatico.ca/65.95.184.179)

and I was explaining to him how important HCV awareness is.

I gave him an example that a barely-listening teenager could understand: the other day, I cut my finger. It was deep and wouldn't stop bleeding. If we hadn't known I have HCV, he would have bandaged me up, and POSSIBLY had contact with my blood. Since we do know, he just stayed clear and opened up a bunch of bandaids for me lol. My point was, people who don't know they have HCV need to know that they do, and those around them need to know what is safe and what isn't.

And then Patrick cranked up the radio so we could listen to Jimi Hendrix hahaha
