Subject: Hepfest

Ok folks, I'm realatively new at all of this, so what exactly goes on at the Hepfest? It was brought up at a meeting I was at the other night and it sounded interesting. Just wanted some info and, other then dates and that its in Wellsboro, PA haven't been able to find out any specific's about what goes on. Any info would be appreciated.

The hepfest is just a place for heppers to get together and enjoy each other's company. There is a Blue Grass festival going on that weekend and I'm sure some people will attend. There are also lakes and fishing and gorgeous scenery. Some of us will get together and bar-b-q, I am sure. No one is required to be at any special place at any special time. We are pretty loose about that. There are no hepatitis events planned. The only thing we ask is that no one brings any alcohol or drugs. We want to be invited back and besides there will be many kids there with their parents.

We're going to meet "in person" other heppers who have become very dear friends over the net and by phone--we welcome all new friends (that's you)

As far as alcohol and drugs, we are asking that people not bring them as a courtesy to kids, newly-sober-newly-diagnosed heppers and the Town of Wellsboro.

That said, it looks as though a lot of people are definitely going to be there and it's going to be so much fun!!!!! My friend Susinni always says, "You meet the nicest people with HCV" I have to agree with her!

Although there won't be any events planned, I'm going to try for a group hug sometime over the weekend lol

no, not like for mass distribution or anything... Just a tangible something. Maybe a big poster (Bill & Teresa.. do you do that kinda thing?) (Dennie?) that we all sign...
-- Or maybe somebody (who has all this stuff) bring a digital camera & laptop & portable printer (shall we just break down and invite Bill Gates?) and do something with pix of festivities and folks...
