Pit and I are 2b's -- or were 2b's. We both got rid of 'Cyrus the Virus' with the shorter 24 week course. Lots of factors to consider whether to stop at 24 weeks or go the distance -- or part of the rest of the distance. You can always split the difference and go 36 weeks instead of 48.

Factors to consider: condition of your liver before treatment [treat longer than 24 weeks if you have cirrhosis]; how soon after starting treatment you went undetected [if you went undetected 1-3 weeks into treatment, 24 weeks is probably sufficient]; viral load at start of treatment [the lower the better].

I had to stop at 24 weeks 'cause the insurance company refused to pay for longer for a 2b -- not sure what I would have decided if I had the option to continue. I probably would have quit at 24 anyway 'cause I went undetected so early [2 weeks into treatment].

Let us know what you decide -- and welcome.
