And he gave me two options. One: Go in and do complete overhaul of the three tendons in question. 3 - 4 weeks on crutches and extensive rehab, but the knee should be good as new when done....or Two: Go in and do a scope of the tendon giving me the worst problem & fix the tear in that one. That would be much quicker and the down time is just a few days. Then some rehab to get the strength back and regain full range of motion.
Since the knee doesn't have much of a problem as far as "popping out" (once in a great while), I think I'll go with....door number 2. Like he said, they can always go in later and do more if needed. Not bad, I can handle a few days...but a month or more would drive me insane, I believe. How are things in the pac. n.w.?? Figured out yet if you can do the fest or not?

[> [> Insane??? Short drive, huh? (lol) Good luck with the choices... sounds like yer thinking is sensible -- susinni, 22:32:08 04/23/02 Tue (susini1.Stanford.EDU/171.64.181.9)

(unless, of course, you're like a lot of us and are holding back some vital info that doesn't fit in with the "door of choice"-lol) Just thinking about how I think...

I've had it done twice, once on each and the recovery time is short. Had my right one totally gone through and it does take a while to get back "up and running". Funny though because now my right knee has become my "good" knee, because the left one that was scoped in 93 is bothering me again.HA!Hows that saying go?...."If I would have known I was going to live this long,I would have taken better care of myself!"Oh well.Good luck on yours!! Not sure yet about the Hepfest.Trying to get a friend who is also Hepper to go with me on the bikes, and hit Sturgis on the way back. It would be a great ride!!! See ya...
