Roter arrived from SBRbucks, accompanied by the holographically disguised Rampage. The security officer took special note of the soldiers peering around; clearly something had them on alert.

"Been a while since I checked in with Ops; whatever they're responding to, it has to be something serious to go past security straight to the big guns. Although my staff has been kinda under since the WR@ thing...maybe they knew that an' knew I was tied up testifyin'...

Slag it, this isn't the time for professional; pride Rotor! You ain't exactly on the clock right now anyways, workin' with one Pred ta catch another, now are ya? The old me worryed about beauracracy, and my results were starting to show it. Time to get back to basics."

Rotor and Rampage ducked into one of the unoccupied side rooms off the main arena and sealed it, so their conversation would be private and away form the troops. Clearance or not, Rotor wasn't in the mood to marginally explain himself now.

"PHOTRON! Computer, locate and display holoroom intelligence..."

A swirl of light coalesced before them, a spiral of reds, greens and blues. From any angle, the cylinder seemed to contain a small figure approaching from a great distance. This was of course illusory; the wireframe figure within was mimicking walking while its proportions increased until it filled the cylinder of light and then simply WAS the light.

Rotor glanced at Rampage. The hologram lacked its renowned personality quirks, so he questioned it.

"Are we accessing the main system? I need to know specifically if this section of your program was the entity that observed an incident that occured here not too long ago, involving a prisoner in the brig by the name of Samuel, and two others."

"Authorized? You're more formal than I'd heard, Hologram. Clearance code Rotor:1.97-4. Authorization Delta Omega Trion."

"Later time?! Later time?! Are you still glitchy from the damage from the WR@ infestation? Do you have any idea how long ago that wedding they busted up was? Pull yourself together! It's like you aren't even here! You have my clearance so why am I talking to a subsystem? Access your main persona already; lives may be at stake!"

PHOTRON's double looked on uncomprehending, but numbers were soon scrolling across his 'eyes'. The system would be scanned and the main program located. Rotor just hoped he had the patience to wait for it.

"How many more Ali McCormicks or Fireshards are there going to be? No more, not on my watch, not because some artificial intel gets a glitch.

Whereever you are, lady, I'm on yer trail. One way or another, this is going to end, and I'm gonna be there to see it through...
