Hard as it may be to believe, Buffy and Angelus have been on their Journey for less than two weeks. The trip by cargo ship from the San Francisco/Oakland area to Kauai was, according to the freighter schedules I checked at the time, a week to ten days long. Layovers for such ships are rarely more than a day or two, and are sometimes measured in hours. Angelus comments on this fact, in Part 8, when he tells Buffy that they will be there for 3 days, which is unusually long, and that the normal range of time is 18-36 hours.
Parts 8-14 take place the night of their arrival. Parts 15a-19b are the first full day and night, Parts 20a-21 are the second full day and night. 22 will finish that night, and possibly go into the next morning.
And, as I said in Part 10 (the first day of their arrival on Kauai) she wasn't due to start her cycle for another week. She reflects that Angelus probably knows that. Which means, in terms of the story, that they will be off the island and back on the freighter before this issue is addressed.
As I said in an earlier post, this issue will be addressed because it is unbelievable that Buffy would be Angelus' prisoner for more than three weeks without it becoming an important matter between them. You are simply going to have to be patient. And, if you can't be patient, you could try your hand at writing scenes between Angelus and Buffy that you would like to see.
