I am sure there are many who care for you, Winter Frost. Though you cannot see it. And I assure you, Sunfire can be trusted. I wondered why he has moped about the past several weeks. Now I see why. If you would have seen him here...he was miserable. But that is a choice you must make. Just as being alone is a choice. You may not believe me, but it is. I made that decision. You're making it too. It's too late for me to change, old as I am. But you are young. You have love, both from your brother, and Sunfire, I am sure. And, your parents, I am as equally sure, love you. I do not know what caused the apparent rift between you and your kin, nor what caused you to steel your heart against any but your brother. Whether your fault, or their's, do not let it ruin your life. It isn't worth whatever grudge you carry.
She hoped her words would not anger the mare, but her's was the voice of experience. She knew of the lonely nights and days. She didn't want another to go through it as well.
