Howdy Troops,
I received an email from Wendy Wright with Scout Troop 81. She has asked if I could get some of our members to work with their troop as living historians. They are planning a campout October 26-28 at Camp Wisdom in far south Dallas. As luck would have it, this is also a shooting campout. She tells me we can bring our rifles and do some range shooting.
I know this is only a week after Raymond, but it would be a nice relaxing camping trip, we get to shoot, and can perform a service for the scouts. I'm planning to attend and would like to get at least a squad out there with me. I'd like to teach a little history, show them how a soldier of the period would have camped and cooked, and show them a little of how we would have fought. You don't have to stay all weekend.
