"THE EVERLASTING FLOORING SYSTEM"

Decorative Sand & Stone Co. Inc. installs a rugged high quality composite coating on concrete surfaces. Called "Rustic Terrazzo" and "Polished Terrazzo" This technology was developed more than 15 years ago in the Boston area to solve the problems of concrete in severe weather conditions, high traffic and low maintenance requirement areas. The final surface is a "natural stone",epoxy, and cement composite , where the cement completley (100%) protects the bonding of the epoxy from ultra-violet radiation which would cause degadation. This material then can be sealed with either a matte or glossy sealer to provide stain resistance. The final reults of Our Terrazzo Flooring is that it will "Last for Decades" ! The cement can be colored to provide color matching for any project.

Just got back from a full week on Fuerteventura. Luckily, I got there just in time for a very nice NW to W swell. West coast was double overhead, N Coast was overhead. I got a good feel for the spots on the North Coast if anyone wants some tips on places to surf, stay, eat, etc...

I got some extraordinary surf. Hightlight was Lobos Island at 8-10'.

we offer you: the opportunity to learn how to surf, in beaches almost completely deserts, where you can feel the proximity of nature.

If you already know how to surf but you like our offer, you’ll be welcome too.

Hi all,

Could anyone who has some photo's from club trips or socials, please send them into me. In particular, Rohan and Mark should have some 'interesting' ones!

We want to scan a selection onto the website.

Thanks a million,
Carmel.

TURN $6.00 INTO $6,000!!! IT'S SIMPLE AND IT'S LEGAL AND IT’S HONEST!!!!!!!

I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it a little
while back, I was browsing through news groups just like you are right now
and came across an article similar to this saying that you could make
thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of
$6.00!!

So I thought yeah right! This must be a scam--but like most of
us, I was curious, so I kept reading. Anyway it said that you send one
dollar to each of the six names and addresses stated in the article. You
then place your own name and address on the bottom of the list at number
six and post the article to at least 200 newsgroups. (there are thousands and thousands) No catch--that was it. Everyone who responds knows what they are doing—they are paying you $1 to add their name to your list—nothing dishonest. So after talking to a few people and thinking it over I decided to give it a try. What have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00 right? Then I invested the measly six dollars. WELL GUESS WHAT!!! Within 7 days, I started getting money in the mail!!! I was shocked. I thought it was going to stop but it just kept coming—but I was wrong!

In my first week I made $25.00. By the end of the second week I had $900.00.
In the end of the third week I made $5,000.00!!! It's still growing right
now. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over
$38,000.00! and it's still coming in rapidly. This is certainly worth
$6.00 and 6 stamps. I have spent more than that on the lottery!!

Let me tell you how this works and most importantly why it works… (also make sure that you print a copy of this article NOW so you can get the information
off of it as you need it. I promise you that if you follow the directions
exactly, that you will start making more money than you possibly thought
just by doing something so easy!!)

SUGGESTION: READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE CAREFULLY
(Print it out or copy it) Follow the simple directions and
watch the money come in! It's easy. It's legal. It is not dishonest. And your investment is only $6.00 (plus postage)

IMPORTANT: This is not a rip off; it is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually no risk - it really works!!!!! If all of the following instructions are adhered to, you will receive extraordinary dividends. PLEASE NOTE: please follow these
directions exactly and $50,000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days.
This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of
the participants. *Please continue its success by carefully adhering to
the instructions.*

You will now become a part of the mail order business.
In this business your product is not solid and tangible, it's a service.
You are in the business of developing a mailing list. Many large
corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality list. However, the
money made from the mailing list is secondary to the income, which is made
from people like you and me asking to be included to that list. Here are
the four steps to success:

STEP 1: Get 6 separate pieces of paper write the
following on each piece of paper "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST (and include your name and address)" Now get 6 U.S. 1 dollar bills and place ONE inside EACH of the six pieces of paper so the bill will not be seen through the envelope to prevent thievery. (Remember to wrap the $1 bill in the note to prevent mail theft.) Next place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them. MAKE SURE THERE ARE ENOUGH STAMPS ON YOUR ENVELOPES. You should now have 6 sealed envelopes, each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase your name and address and a $1.00 bill. What you are doing is asking to be included on a mailing list and paying $1 for the service of adding you to the list. (THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! Like most of us, I was a little skeptical and a little worried about
the legal aspects of it all. So I checked it out with the U.S. Post Office
1-800-725-2161 and they confirmed that it is indeed legal!!!!! And since everyone knows what they are doing—it is not dishonest.) Then…Mail the six envelopes to the following addresses:

#1) Cyntoria Thomas - 3605 Hickorynut Street Jacksonville,Florida 32208
#2) R.J. Lloyd P.O. Bax 470881, Los Angeles, Ca 90047
#3) Cab Baker 4844 nw. Frontage Rd. Cleveland. Tn. 37312
#4) Alexander Enterprises P.O. Box 718 Dillsburg, PA 17019-0718
#5) Christopher Godfrey 8100 Pines Road Apt 6F Shreveport, La. 71129.
#6) J. Mitchell 160 E. 100 S. Price, UT 84501

STEP 2: Now take the #1 name off the list that you
see above, move the other names up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc…) and add
YOUR name as number 6 on the list. (You don’t have to retype—just copy the whole message and past it into your notepad or word processing program for easy alteration.)

STEP 3: Change anything you need to but try
to keep this article as original as possible. Now post your amended article to at
least 200 news groups or message boards. ( There are thousands) All you need is
200, but remember, the more you post, the more money you make!** EVERYBODY AROUND THE WORLD CAN DO THIS BUT REMEMBER TO PUT ENOUGH STAMPS ON YOUR ENVELOPES!!!!**

So as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed, six members
will be reimbursed for their participation as a list developer with one
dollar each. Your name will move up the list geometrically so that when
your name reaches the #1 spot you will be receiving thousands of dollars
in CASH!!!!! What an opportunity for only $6.00($1 for each of the six
people listed above) Send it now, add your own name to the list and you're
in business!

Keep a copy of these steps for yourself and whenever you need money, you can use it again and again.

PLEASE REMEMBER that this program remains successful
because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by carefully
adhering to the directions. Look at it this way, if you are of integrity,
the program will continue and the money that so many others have received
will come your way.

NOTE: Retain every name and address sent to you, either
on a computer or a hard copy and keep the notes people sent you.
This verifies that you are truly providing a service. And keep track of how much money you are sent—you don’t want any trouble with the IRS.

---DIRECTIONS---- FOR HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS---

STEP 1:
You do not need to retype this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply
put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the
bottom of this document, and select "copy" from the edit menu. This will copy
the entire letter into the computer's memory.

STEP 2:
open a blank notepad file and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From the edit menu select "paste." This will paste the copy of the letter into notepad so you can add your name to the list.

STEP 3:
Save your new notepad file.

STEP 4:
Use Netscape and Internet Explorer and
search for various news groups (on-line forums message boards, chat
sites, discussions.)

Step5:
Visit these message boards and post this
article as a new message by highlighting the text of this letter and
selecting "paste" from the edit menu. Fill in the subject, this will be
the header that everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings
in a particular group, click the post message button. You're done with
the first one! Congratulations…THAT'S IT! All you have to do is jump to
different news groups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will
take 30 seconds for each newsgroup!

**REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWSGROUPS YOU
POST IN (MESSAGE BOARDS ETC) THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200.

That's it! You will begin receiving money from around the world within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay
anonymous, you can invent a name to use as long as the postman will
deliver it. **JUST MAKE SURE THE ADDRESS IS CORRECT**

---NOT CONVINCED YET?--

Let me break it down, say I receive only 5 replies, so then I made $5 with my name at #6on the letter. Now each of the 5 persons who just sent me $1 made the MINIMUM 200 postings, each with my name at #5 and only 5 people respond to the original 5 people. That is another $25 for me. Now those 25 people
make the MINIMUM 200 post with my name at number 4 and only 5 replies
each, I will make $125. Now, those 125 people post the MINIMUM 200
postings with my name at #3 and only get 5 replies each, I will make an
additional $626! Okay, now here's the fun part each of those 625 people
post a MINIMUM 200 with my name at #2 ant they only get 5 replies that
just made me $3,125!!! Those 3125 people send a MINIMUM 200 postings and
they only get 5 replies each with my name at #1, I will receive $15,625!!!
With an original investment of $6!!!! AMAZING!!!! . When your name is no
longer on the list, you just take the latest postings in the news groups
and send out another $6 to names on the list putting yourself at #6 and
start posting again. Thousands of people are joining the internet each
day and they are reading articles like these just like you are right now.
So this can never get played out just keep it going and you can make tons
of money too!!!! Please try it now and make big bucks in a few short
weeks!!!!!!

Hi, to get me started I would like to buy a second hand longboard of reasonable quality (with my 90 kg I need some volume). Does anybody know what a good shop or website would be to find such board? So far the best place I found was Longboard House in Newquay. Any other options or suggestions?

Bad news folks,

The surf awareness course is cancelled this weekend.

The surf forecast is pretty crap so there are no plans to hit the coast today or tomorrow.

Next weekend (the beginners trip) is definitely going ahead but places are filling up quickly. Pidge your deposits (£20 cheques payable to Oxford Surf Club) to Tim Hurford at New College.

Thanks, Carmel.

Hello all you Oxford surfers!

Here at the surf club, we've realised that there may be some of you keen to come surfing who might not know anyone else who's up for it, and also a fair few who just want any excuse to party, so...

COME TO OUR SOCIAL!

This time it's being held at New College bar, TOMORROW, Wednesday of third week (30th Oct)from 8pm. It'll give you a chance to meet the committee and have a natter about
the arrangements for the upcoming jaunts to NEWQUAY! YIPPEE!! and meet some fellow club members.

If you're interested in joining Oxford's coolest club, remember to bring your cheque book, and if you're up for Newquay in a couple of weekend's time, all you need is enthusiasm (and the trifling cost of the trip, a snip at £60!).

For your entertainment, we'll be showing some surf videos and we ask that anyone with photos (esp. embarrassing ones!) from previous trips bring them along.

hope to see lots of you there,
much love from the surf committee x
PS You'll easily spot us because we'll be wearing Oxford Surf Club T-shirts!

Hi folks,

Sorry for the delay but here at last are trip details:

Beginners Trip to Newquay:
Friday 8th November- Sunday 10th November
Accommodation, transport, boards, wetsuits and instruction provided.
Approx cost: £60

Non-beginners Trip to Newquay:
Friday 1st Nov- Sunday 3rd Nov
Surf Awareness Course +
lots of surfing ...
This trip will be subsidised by the Sports Fed as it's safety training for more experienced members who will be able to take beginners out.
Approx cost of transport and accommodation: £40.

Can people who are interested in these trips, please mail the club (surf@herald.ox.ac.uk) so we'll have an idea of numbers and therefore cost.

We'll have a club meeting next week where people can pay membership and deposits for trips. In the meantime, if anyone is hitting the coast this weekend, and can offer lifts, please let us know.

Love, hugs and kisses,
Your Surf Club.
PS We're having trouble with our mail list, so if you haven't received this message personally, please mail us.

DEAR EVERYONE!
Thankyou for taking the time to open this e-mail which has come to you from the inaugural committee of the Oxford Surf Club! We've got your address either cos you signed up or one of mates did for you! Sorry this has taken such a long time to get to you, but we were rather overwhelmed by the response at freshers fair - we got over 400 people signing up - which for an inaugural society is pretty unheard of. Which is nice. So congratulations, you're part of the newest and most vibrant club on the Oxford scene.

Well, in this first e-mail there's quite a lot to tell you, so here goes!

Upcoming events!
Thursday of week 2, there's a cocktail party. Yes, that's right, we will be heading of to the bridge (ne gallery) for a few drinks, just to get know everyone. There will be a load of other sports teams and clubs down there so
it should be great fun! E-mail oxfordsurf@hotmail.com if you want tickets.

Upcoming Trips!
Yes, that's right, we've already got a trip planned (whoever said that surfers were disorganised?). And it's going to be a great start to your surfing career!

First things first! You do NOT have to be able to surf on this trip! You do NOT have to own your own board! OR wetsuit! OR insurance. Yep, that's right, we're taking you away with no strings! Here's the plan!(But if you do, your also very welcome - we can cater for all levels)

Friday 26th October: Depart Oxford in minibuses heading for the surf capital of England - NEWQUAY! In the evening we will settle into our HOTEL (yes - a hotel - overlooking the sea - called 'The Edwardian' actually) which is within walking distance of two - ahem - great clubs. Well, they're a lot better than Park End anyway! But of course, you can just relax at the hotel bar, or at the Newquay Arms, a very popular pub.

Saturday Morning: Get up and have breakfast! Not sure what time, but it won't be at the crack of dawn - don't worry! Then its off to the surf school, (a quick walk away). Jump intowetsuits - full winter wetsuits with gloves and boots, so no getting cold for us!) provided by the school, hop on the boards (also provided by the school and let the instructors start helping you to surf!

In the afternoon you get time to practice your newly honed skills, under the watchful eye of our own lifeguards, so no worries there.
Then, in the evening, it's your night. Suggestions on a postcardplease. We can go out clubbing, chilling, and generally having a bit of a laugh.

Sunday morning: Yes, it's time to get up and surf again! Breakfast followed by more tuition, and then in the afternoon more time to practice your skills before we head back to Oxford and the realities of work - hey some of us are finalists - so we don't want to hear any complaints about!

So how much for this beaut (to get in a bit Oz language) of a trip!
£75
Which, for what you're getting, Minibus trips, accomodation includingbreakfast, surfing lessons, lifeguarding, boards, wetsuit hire, is not bad at all. We don't work on a profit so it is the cheapest we can make it! All you have to do is get a bit of cash for an evening meal and clubbing!
Oh, and did I mention that we've got a camera crew coming down as well - which should make things very interesting for the two of you they want to
focus on - e-mail us if you think you're up to the job!

OK, this is the only down side. We can only take around 30 people. We had over 400 people put their names down. It doesn't take much to figure that spaces are pretty limited. Allocation will be on a first come first served (We're really sorry about this) basis, but, for our first trip,it's kinda all we can manage!

The best thing would be to e-mail "oxfordsurf@hotmail.com" asap! Check your diaries, clear a space, and come for what should be a great break in Newquay!

That's about it so far, so until we hear from you, Have a great time.
Go ride a few!
This e-mail was brought to you courtesy of:
Your loving Surf committee!
Pete, Tim, the two Marks, and the lovely Sarah!

P.S. Should you wish to be removed from this e-mail list, just email thesame address and type "PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM THIS TOTALLY COOL CLUB!"

Hi all you stranded surfers,

There's a good surf forecast for the weekend and it looks like a few cars will be leaving Oxford for the coast Friday. If you want a lift, give us a shout.

If anyone is heading out to France this month, 4 members of the surf club are (or intend to be) in the Biarritz area. Again, I can pass on your email if you want to catch up with them/exchange plans etc.

hello all, and welcome to the uni's *coolest* society...oxford surf club!

you'll get a separate email sometime soon with details of our upcoming trips
to newquay, surf (and party) capital of the west country, but for now here
is an invite to our 1st week *surf social*...

this week the club is one whole year old, and to celebrate we thought we'd get
as many of you together as possible and PARTY!

come to *Bar Med* (near the Westgate centre) from 8pm, thursday of week 1, where you'll be able to spot the committee due to their suitably surf-themed apparel (think loud and clashing hawaiian shirts). prizes for the best beach-themed clothing, so dig out the sandals and shorts and come join us!

we'll also have more details of all the trips planned (just make sure you ask
us before we have too much 'sex on the beach', and there might even be a birthday cake...

hope to see you there,
the lovely surf committee (carmel, tim and kerri)

hi all!

well, the recent surf trip to cornwall was a great success, and we've been back in oxford long enough to be pining for the waves (or is that just me?) so as a break from revision/taking exams/lying in the lovely sunshine of late, we think a *surf social* is in order...

come along and meet us from 8pm in the garden of the turf this saturday (8th june, 7th week) for a few drinks, and onwards from there...wherever sounds good on the night really (surfers aren't the most organised breed)

and don't forget that even if you can't make it this sat, the next surf trip is from the 19-26 june on the west coast of ireland, its gonna be a good one! email surf@herald.ox.ac.uk for more details.

hope to see you all soon,
(apologies to those on the trip who may have received this email twice...just making sure it got to you (yes i am computer incompetent)!

have a good week, see you saturday!

Not sure if anybody actually looks at this. just wanted to say that the trip last weekend was awesome, despite the poor weather and surf conditions. Saturday night was crazy (don't remember much after I left that club we were at). I'll come to the social meeting whenever that is. Should have my 10 or so pics from the trip developed by then (I know there's one that Mark will want to see...) It was a really fun group of people who went on the trip; that made it all the more enjoyable.

Take a break and let me do all the work.

I smash, burn, and basically destroy stuff. Wanna see?
