A group of engineers sat around a table piled with a mess of read-outs, diagrams and other materials relating to the strange ring. The group looked tired, worn-out, and overall they looked stressed. It had been an enternity it seemed ~~Because the writer is too lazy to pick up the story line :(~~ since they had recieved this mysterious artifact, and now they have gotten no where on how to use it. What they did know is that theoretically this ring could make a worm hole to *another* ring like it. Knowing this, they had already installed the ring in a secure area.

"Oh my....yes..yes..yes! I've FIGURED IT OUT!!!!! The symbols are used like coordinates. All you need to do is figure out the coordinates of another gate and the gate will be open between them! That has to be it! We must get the computer to start randomly dial out, so we can find other gates! But first we need a team, a team to explore! This is exciting!"

The ~~randomly picked~~ engineer was almost jumping up and down. The rest of the team has smiles on their faces, they couldn't rait to see if he was right, but first, sleep. Forge stood up.

"Well, you all can go to your quarters. I'll fill out the report, and ask Howitzer for permission to create a team, and to randomly dial out. If he okays it, I'll let you all know in the morning."
