I grabbed Calypso's leather halter, with his name engraved on it, & opened his stall door, letting myself in.The elegant black stallion looked up from eating his hay.I walked over to him & put his halter on.Then, I put him in the crossties.I already had all of Calypso's tack out, along with my helemt & gloves, & a grooming box.I picked up a curry comb from the grooming box & got to work brushing Calypso. When I finished grooming the 17 hand Holsteiner, I tacked him up.Calypso looked very nice with his expensive leather bridle on,(that was embroidered)along with my custom made leather showjumping saddle, a fluffy, fleecy white saddle pad, & a running martingale that was made to match his bridle.I was wearing a pair of beige breeches, my expensive, custom made tall boots & a Dover saddlery shirt.I put on my black leather riding gloves, & my velvet helemt, & led Calypso to one of the outdoor jumping arenas at Timeless Farm.I mounted Calypso & squeezed him into a walk. The big horse looked glorious in the sunlight.I quickly warmed up Calypso. Then I popped him over a few 4 foot jumps for a warm-up.With that done, I got Calypso cantering, & started my stopwatch.Calypso's powerful canter carried him quickly towards the first jump, a 6 foot oxer.Calypso bounded over the jump, with a giant leap.I collected him a bit more for a 5'6" coop, which was our next jump.Calypso soared over this jump as well. The course quickly flew by.Calypso leaped over the last jump, & I let him go into a hand gallop.I stopped my stopwatch then.Calypso had gotten an excellent time, along with no faults.I slowed Calypso to a walk, then dismounted from him once he was halted.I led Calypso back to his stall & untacked him. Then I hosed him off with warm water, & tied him up in his stall with a cooler on.Once Calypso was dried off, I put on his blanket, took off his halter & left him in his stall to munch in hay.Now it was time for Jewel's lesson on her horse, Made Pretty Fancy...
