Lana lifted the all purpouse saddle onto Sunset's back. Lana buckled the girth and put on her bridle. Lana gracefully mounted the mare, landing softly in the saddle. Lana squeezed lightly and Sunset moved off into a walk. They came to the arena a Lana loosened her up by bending her around her leg. Lana's hands professionally moved with the palamino's head. After some loosening up Lana clucked her into a trot. Lana posted and manuevered the mare in some circles and around some jumps that were already set up. Then Lana urged her into a slow, smooth, rocking canter. She aimed her at one of the 3'6" oxers in the arena. Sunset leaped over it with ease. Then Lana turned her toward a small vertical. Sunset eagerly jumped it. Lana and Sunset finished the whole line and Lana slowed her down. Lana walked her around to cool her out. While Lana was cooling her out she posted with out stirrups at a walk. 10 minutes later she jumped down from the saddle and led the mare up to the barn. Lana took off her tack and put it away. Then she groomed her and put her in her stall. Lana put away the grooming kit and grabbed Patience's halter and leadrope along with a grooming kit. Lana stepped into the stall and slipped the halter over her head. Then she led her out to the cross-ties. She clipped them on and the filly sniffed them, not at all seeming to care that she was in them. Then Lana grabbed a
rubber curry comb from the kit. She let Patience sniff it and then rubbed it al over her. Patience let her curry her. 30 minutes later Patience had a full grooming including her hooves. Then Lana gave her a carrot and stepped out of the stall.
