I slipped into her new stall at Castlereagh Stables and gave her a good groom. We had already begun to form a deep bond in the week she had been at CS and she showed her trust in our riding. I saddled her up and mounted, walking her to the outdoor arena. i warmed her up, by working her in all gaits for 10 mins or so and then i began ot school her over some low jumps. she was already an accomplished jumper but i wanted her to get used to me and not start her on anything to high for now, so all the jumps were around 2-3' she jumped well, lifting her legs high and neatly, and she also knew how to judge her strides and therefore her takeoffs. her canter was smooth and easy to jump to. she easily cleared all of the jumps, so well in fact that i raised the bars up to anywhere between 3 and 4'. she also walked well over thes. i made sure her striding and pacing were good between the jumps, especially the doibles and triples. after another 2 rounds, i slowed her to a trot and then a walk and cooled her down for a while. i then dismounted, unsaddled her, gave her a hose down and turned her out in her regular paddock for the afternoon.
