I swung gracefully into the saddle.Mystical Time, my Irish TB stallion, pranced in place beneath me, impatient to get going.I gave him a pat on the neck & squeezed him with my legs to walk. The bay stallion had a long, ground-covering pace.I walked Time around for a little while before trotting & cantering him.Once the 17.2 hand stallion was warmed up on the flat, I jumped him over a few 2'-6" fences as a warm-up.Since that was a good enough warm-up, I slowed Time to a walk & let him walk a lap before starting a course with him.We cantered towards a 3'-6" oxer.Time lifted off the ground & easily cleared the jump.I collected him a bit for a 3'-3" brush box.Time got over that jump easily.I got the big horse to do a flying lead change as we switched direction to go over a 3'-9" triple.Time & I quickly finished the rest of the course, with a decent time & only 4 faults.I took the bay stallion over a different course, before walking him out & dismounting.I untacked the big horse in his stall, & gave him a peppermint, before going to tack up a Irish Draught stallion named All Things Considered, or for short, "Bubba".The elegant stallion was HUGE at 18 hands high, & towered over me.I haltered him & put him in the crossties, before tacking him up with dressage tack.I grabbed my dressage whip, & led Bubba to the largest indoor dressage arena.I mounted him, using a mounting block & got him walking with a light squeeze of my legs. The elegant horse had graceful gaits & quickly went into dressage form as I warmed him up.Once done warming up Bubba at a walk, trot & canter, I did some collecting & extending at a trot & canter. Then I did some trot & canter circles, & some half-passes.Now that the chestnut stallion was thoroughly warmed up, I started the second level dressage test with him.Bubba was excellent. He was well balanced & his gaits were perfect. He was moving nicely & was in correct dressage form. Now I did the 3rd level test with him.Bubba still did nicely, but he coulc have been a bit more flexible about half-passes & he wouldn't do a lead change at one point.I ran him throug the 3rd level test one more time, & being content with how he did, I walked him out & dismounted from him.I led Bubba back to his stall & untacked the big horse there.I then hosed him off with warm water in the wash stall, put him on the hotwalker to dry off with a cooler on, then put him back in his stall with his winter blanket on, munching a treat. Then I walked up to the house to get lunch...
