I swung into my dressage saddle & sat.Crystal pawed at the ground, waiting for me to ask her to walk.I adjusted my stirrups & let Crystal walk.the chestnut Arabian was all ready to go.I quickly warmed up Crystal @ a walk & trot, then I cued her to canter. The mare went into a smooth, rolling canter which was very easy to sit to.I cantered Crystal a few laps in each direction & then brought her back down to a collected trot.I did some half-passes in each direction then moved Crystal up into a canter & did a few more half-passes.I patted Crystal on the neck & decided to work on a extended trot.I got Crystal up to a working trot & cued her to extend the trot by putting one of my legs behind her girth & squeezing.Crystal responded right away and started lengthening her stride.I finally got her to a point where she was extending very well, keeping her hocks still. To anyone watching, it would appear that Crystal was almost gliding over the ground.I slowed her down to a walk & patted her.I praised her, saying "good girl!" Crystal snorted & kept on walking. Then i did ashoulder-in with her, then a shoulder-out.Crystal was perfect about the travers & renvers when we did them.I cued her to canter & sat deep into the saddle, settling to her rolling canter.I quickly got her working on the bit, & then while cantering towards C, I tapped her on her right shoulder with my dressage whip & brought my right leg behind the girth, squeezing.Crystal did a perfect flying lead change.I did another flying lead change with her, not using the whip this time. Then I switched her lead every 5 strides for a lpa before bringing her back down to a trot.at F, I turned her and we trotted(collected) past X to H.I did a few 10 meter canter circles in both directions for a bending exercise, then I did the second level dressage test with her.She was very good, so I walked her out & then dismounted & led her back to her stall. One of the grooms took Crystal & untacked, hosed off & turned her out. After giving Crystal a treat & a pat, I walked over to one of the other barns to tack up my next ride.
