"Are you sure your strong enough?"Matt asks. "Yes Matt,don't worry honey! You know I wouldn't ride if I wasn't ready!"

I lead Atlanta out into the paddock and mounted easily. Matt watched from the gate. I slowly lead her around at a walk. After a few minutes I incresed her speed to a trot. Then after a minute I increased to a full canter and lead her into a figure eight. On the second time around I had her switch her lead leg. A little shaky on the switch but we could work on that. Then I cooled her off and lead her back to her stall. I lead Aurora out into the tack room and tacked her as if for a dressage competition...without the frills. I mounted and rode her out onto the paddock in a walk. Matt yeld trot from the gate and I lead her into a flawlees transition. Then he called canter and she completed another smooth transition. She lead with one and then, at Matt's call, the other fore leg. Then Matt called Gallop and I broke her out at Near top speed. Her transition needed a little work ,but she was new to this speed! I let her back down to a walk and then pulled her into a controlled rear. Then, on a whim, I urged her into a walk. She was a natural for Dressage! "Ok, you did great Aurora!" I said as we rode back to the stalls. I washed and groomed her and lead her back to her stall. Finally, I took out Merziad, A broodmare, and tacked her up. I mounted her and took her for a relaxing trail ride around a lake. I brought her back and put her back into her stall. Then Matt and I walked hand and hand back to the house.
