I swung into the saddle of Calypso's Song.they 4 y/o bay mare walked on right away when I squeezed her with my legs.I walked her a few laps, then asked for a trot.I posted to the beat of Song's trot. Then, after a while of trotting, I cantered Song.Next, I popped her over a 1'9" single. Then I did a line of jumps.Song was very scopey, like usual, over the oxer. Then I cantered a circle with her.Song & I went over the first single.Song tucked up her knees nicely over the jump.1, 2, 3, 4, Song flew over the oxer.I held my reins high to keep her lifted up & not moving downhill. We continued through the course.Song did the course perfectly.I took her through the hunter course in the other direction, then walked her out & dismounted.I led her into the stable & handed her off to a groom to untack. Then I quickly tacked up Lovebird.I led her to the indoor dressage arena & mounted.I warmed her up at a walk, trot, & canter. Then I did some half-passes & circles with her before running over the 4th level dressage test with her.She did the test perfectly, so I did a prix St. Georges test with her.Though the test wasn't perfect, it was good enough, so I walked her out, then dismounted, led her back to the barn & handed her to a groom to untack.Another groom handed me the reins of a light grey Arabian gelding called Winter Snowflake.I led Snowflake to the outdoor jumping arena. It was just the right temperature out for riding.cool, but not to cold with a light breeze.I lunged Snowflake, then mounted the 8 y/o gelding.I had trained Snowflake when he was younger, then had decided to buy him recently when his owner put him up for sale.I warmed up Snowflake, then popped him over a 3'-6" oxer for a warm-up.Then I took him over a 3'-9" single & a 4 foot coop.I started the jumper course I was doing with him.Snowflake flew over the first jump, then continued on.At the combination, Snowflake charged through, even though I tried to hold him back.He knocked a rail on the oxer.He also touched the rail of a triple with his hooves, but the rail didn't fall.I let him gallop at the finish of the course, then slowed him down to a walk.I did the course with him another time, this time, I got him to slow down through the combination, & he didn't get any faults through that course.I did another course with him that had some sharp turns.Snowflake managed the tight turns well, so once I finished the course with him, I walked the light grey Arabian out & then gave him to a groom to untack.I was getting kind of hungry, so then I headed up to the house for lunch.Buddy & Patrick caught up with me a little ways away from the house. They trotted over to me.I patted both of them on the heads, then continued up to the house.Patrick came in after me...
