I slipped into his stall and genlty groomed him. i clipped on his lead rope, and slowly and gently lead him to the indoor arena. i put him on a lunge line and gradually let him out, at a walk. he walked smoothly but was distracted and kept looking around him, after a few mins, i sttempted to keep him focaused by asking him to turn around, working his other muscles, and asking him to trot. when he was trotting, although quite roughy, he began to pay more attention to me and as he did, his trot becme far more even. i asked him to canter as well. his canter was also extremely smooth and rythmic and i thought it would be a joy to ride to. i turned him aorund again and after another few mins at a canter, i brougt him back to a trot. i asked him to extend and then collected his trot which he did surprisingly well considering his lack of training. i bought him down to a walk and cooled him down then i led him to his paddock where i turned him out for the day.
