I hopped out of the car and walked into the barn. Shep walked along beside me. Puffy was with holly who was riding with her friend Julia. I got out my tack and my horses' halters. i walk out to the pasture and decided to start by grooming Dutchess and working with her foal. I groomed her and then put the foal halter on Fire Dutchess. I tied her to the fence and brushed her with my soft brush. She snorted and stomped her feet. She was obviously not enjoying this. I combed her short little mane and then led her around. The 4 month old reluctantly listened. i gave her a pat and took the halter off. She trotted away from me and then stopped. She looked back at me. She then raised her tail proudly and let out a arrogant sigh. she walked away with her tail in the air. I then went back into the barn and got Sparkle's halter. i led her into the barn and groomed her. I put on her briddle and put on my helmet. I took a bareback trail ride on her. I then swapped her briddle for her halter. I turned her back out. I then replaced her halter for TC's. I caught the big stallion and led him into the barn. I groomed him. He put his head down and sniffed Shep. Shep sat still for him. TC seemed to like the dog. I then tacked him up and led him over to a big rock. I mounted him and we went on a trail ride to the meadow. We then walked back to the barn where I untacked him and turned him out. i finally caught Courage and brought him in. I tacked him up and led him out to the ring.
I mounted him and let him walk on a loose rein for a minute before gathering up my reins and asking for the trot. He pranced a few steps before acctually trotting. I did lots of circles on him before letting him canter. He was feeling good today because his canter was almost a hand gallop. I pulled him up and cooled him out. I then untacked him and turned him out. I put all my stuff away and mucked out my horses' paddocks. I scrubbed their watering troughs out and watered them. I then said good bye and left.
