"Joey, could you please go to the fillies pasture & bring Braveheart up to the training barn?" I asked.Me, Joey, Jasmine & Arianna were standing in the barn aisle of the mares barn.Today Ari, Jas & Joey were going to watch me lunge Braveheart & Corrado for the first time.Joey nodded and walked off, grabbing a lead rope along the way.Ari, Jasmine & I walked over to the training barn.I walked 2 the tack room & Jas + Ari followed me there.I got a lunging cavesson, a lunging surcingle, a pair of side reins, a pair of lunge lines, 4 navy colored leg wraps, a lunge whip & a grooming box.Arianna & Jasmine helped me carry all of the stuff back to Bravehearts stall. Then, Joey walked into the barn with Braveheart & put her in her stall.Arianna asked me "can I brush Braveheart?" I nodded...
10 minutes later, Arianna finished brushing Braveheart and I walked into the mahogany bay, Holsteiners fillies stall.I put on the lunging cavesson and then put on the lunging surcingle.Braveheart was good about the cavesson & surcingle. Then I wrapped her legs & grabbed the lunge lines & side reins.I walked Heart out to the lunging arena.Joey followed me carrying the lunge whip, Ari & Jasmine walked along with him.I led Heart into the lunging arena & put on the side-reins & lunge lines.Joey handed me the lunge whip and walked back out of the arena.Jey, Jasmine & Arianna were seated in chairs near the rail of the arena.I flicked the whip behind Braveheart and loudly said "Walk ONNN!" Braveheart jumped forward to get away from the whip and walked forward. She saw the lunge whip move & spooked. She took off, but hwen she found that there was pressure on the lunge line keeping her from running off, she stopped cantering & slowed down to a walk.I lunged the yerling filly at a walk some more and took a hold of her cavasson & led her in the other direction as I said reverse.Heart tried to move close to me, but I held the lunge whip paralell from me & Heart moved back out.I walked Braveheart for a little longer, telling Ari, Jasmine & Joey how I would be starting Heart on the lunge line & how I would teach her to progress. Then I let each of them walk her on the lunge line for a little while before bringing her back to her stall, taking off her lunging stuff & legwraps, putting away all of her stuff & turning her out in the fillies pasture...

1 month later....
Braveheart was lunging well @ a walk, trot & canter. She was starting to learn how to reverse.Bravehreat was doing well at staying @ a good distance away from me on the lunge line & was starting o get to know the voice commands of lunging.
