Shep followed me into the barn. He laid down next to TC's stall. I got Courage out and groomed him. He nickered happily and I tacked him up. I then led him out to the ring and mounted. Today I was going to start him over fences since he was almost 4 y/o. I asked him to trot. He moved nicely around the ring and appeared not to have an attitude today. We worked on bending. Once he was bending nicely I let him walk. We caught our breath and then cantered. He bended well at the canter too. We did a flying lead change
across the diagonal of the ring and continued on. We then walked. I then dismounted Courage and made a crossrail. I then remounted him. I let him smell the fence. I then turned
him around and trotted him over the fence. He sprung over it and cantered away. "Good boy!" I told him giving him a pat. We trotted it the other way and he popped over it again. We jumped it a few more times and then cooled out.
He was awsome. I then untacked him and grazed him some. I put him away and then got out TC. I groomed him and tacked him up. i took him out to the ring and mounted. I hacked him and he was good too. I cooled him out and put him away.
I then got out my foal halter. I went into Peaches' stall.
"Hi Magic." I rubbed him and slowly put the halter on him.
He didn't mind it at all. "Good boy I said as I gently led him around in the stall. I took the halter off and brushed him with a soft brush. He was touchy around his belly but other that that he was fine. Next,I worked with Jerry. He was nervious about the halter but listened to me. I brushed him too and he was touchy everywhere. He didn't do anything though. I then turned out Courage and took Shep up to the house with me.
