Today I was picking up some horses i bought to bring home to Timeless Farm.I saw a wooden sign that said Ravenswood Stables and turned into the driveway.I parked the truck, and hopped out.Jade greeted me.She led me to April & Snowflakes stalls & helped me put pn there traveling gear. When we had finished with that,I led them both into the 4 horse trailer my truck was pulling after Jade had said goodbye to the both of them. She waved goodbye to me as I pulled out of the driveway. Then I drove to Green River Farm to pick up a Dutch Warmblood mare named Glorious Honor that Susan had sold to me.Once again, I parked & got out of my truck, being greeted by Helen & Susan.Susan showed me where Glory's stall was & I put on her traveling gear.I loaded her in the trailer with April & Snowflake and said goodbye to Helen & Susan. Then I drove to Oak Ridge Farm.I parked my truck & got out.I walked down to the barn, & sure enough, was greeted by Meghan. We talked a little while, & then she walked with me to the mares barn, where Dutchess was.I put on Dutchesses traveling gear & let Meghan say goodbye to her before leading the Dutch warmblood mare to the trailer where Glory, April & Snowflake were.I said goodbye to Meghan & got back into my truck.I pulled out of Meghan's driveway & drove home...
I drove for a little while before reaching Timeless Farm.A big sign painted navy blue & burgandy, had the words Timeless Farm painted on it in gold paint.Timeless farm's logo, a clock with a horse jumping over a fence in the middle of it, was also painted on the sign in gold paint.I pulled into the gravel driveway & parked.I hopped out of the truck & shut the truck door.I walked around to the back of the trailer & opened the trailer door. Then I stepped into the trailer & untied Dutchesses lead rope.I led the pretty chestnut mare to her new stall & then walked back to the trailer & quickly brought April, Snowflake & Glory to there new stalls. Then I took the traveling equipment off of all of them and put it back in the tack room.I grabbed a bale of hay & opened it.Then I got a flake hay for each of the horses I had just brought home & put it in there stalls. After that, It was lunch time, so I walked up to the house toget something to eat, look over April, Snowflake, Glorious Honor & Dutchesses papers & to take a break before going back down to the barn to ride some horses.
5 days later...
I had already ridden April, Snowflake, Dutchess & Glorious Honor.I walked down to the mares barn & grabbed a box of grooming tools & some jumping tack before walking to April's stall.I had already decided on a showname for April, April Showers.Snowflakes new show name was The First Snowflake Of Winter.Dutchess already had a show name, Double Dutch.I had trained April & Snowflake for a while when April was 2 & Snowflake was 4(almost 5). Now, April was 4 & Snowflake was 7 years old.I groomed & tacked up April, then I led her to the indoor jumping arena & got on her.The 15 hand, chestnut, Arabian mare stood still as I got on her.I squeezed her into a walk. After I had warmed up April, I dismounted from her & set up some groundpoles & one small crossrail for her to trot.I got back on April & walked her over the groundpoles & the x-rail.After doing that a couple more times, I squeezed her into a trot.April trotted smoothly over the groundpoles, extending her stride, and easily trotted over the crossrail.I did that with her 2 more times & then walked her out & dismounted. Then I untacked her & turned April out in the pasture with a 2 y/o Appaloosa filly named Candy Apple, & a 7 year old TB mare named Firefly. Then I walked back to the barn & got Snowflake ready.I led him to the outdoor arena & got on him. After I warmed him up @ a walk, trot & canter, I quickly jumped him over a 4 foot hunter course & then walked him out before untacking him & turning him out. Then I walked back to the mares barn & put Dutchessin the crossties.I groomed her & then tacked her up.The Dutch Warmbllod mare had been out in the pasture with her foal until it was weaned about a week ago.She had a bit of a hay belly from being in the pasture.I led her into the stable yard & mounted her. Then I squeezed her into a walk and set off down one of the many trails at TF.After trotting her & cantering her on the trail for a while, I turned her around and rode her home to Timeless Farm. After I had untacked her & turned her out with a few mares, I walked back to the barn & got Glorious Honor ready.I led her out to the outdoor jumping arena & mounted.I walked, trotted & cantered Glory for a while before setting up a 3'-6" jumper course. It was 3 inches bigger then what Glory was used to, but I was sure she could jump it easily.I cued her to canter & rode her to the first jump.1, 2, 3 & Glory cleared the yellow & white striped triple.I turned her & cantered her to a fkae brick liverpool.Glory didn't spook at the water & easily jumped the fence. Then I jumped her over the rest of the course(a green single, a coop, a roll-top, a oxer, a combination that was a single & a oxer, a fake stone wall & a regular liverpool)I cantered her quickly through the course, then after the 2nd to last jump, I pushed her into a hand gallop, and she soared over a spread.I slowed her odwn to a trot, then a walk & did one more course with her before walking out the pretty DWB mare & untacking her plus turning her out in the pasture. Then I headed up to the house.
