I saw a sign that said Forever Creek Stables. This is the place, I thought to myself.I pulled into the driveway of Forever Creek and parked close to the nearest barn.I got out of my silver truck and close the door.I walked into the barn and saw Katie. After greeting each other, Katie showed me where Renegades stall was and where the tack room was.I walked to the tack room and got out a grooming box. After walking back ro Renegade's stall, I picked up a curry comb from the grooming box and walked into Renegade's stall. The 3 y/o Appaloosa colt walked right over to me and sniffed my hand.I petted Renegade for a while so he got to know me a little bit and then I led him to the crossties so I could groom him.Renegade was a very well mannered colt so he was patient and still while I groomed him.Because this was the first time he had met me, I didn't want to do too much with him in 1 day.Today, I was just going to see how he did on a lunge line.Katie had told me that Renegade could walk, trot and canter on a lunge line.I put a cavesson on Renegade and walked him to a indoor arena. There, I picked up a lunge line and a lunge whip.In the arena was a roundpen.I led Renegade over to it and went inside with him.I closed the gate behind us and walked to the middle of the round pen.I flicked the whip near renegade's back legs and he walked off away from me.I let Rengade walk for a little bit before clucking to him to trot.Renegade picked up the trot, and after a little bit of trotting, I flicked the whip behind him and he cantered.Renegade got the right lead when he started cantering. After Renegade had cantered for a while, I lunged him in the oppisite direction @ a walk, trot & canter. When I was done lunging Renegade, I led him back to his stall and took off the lunging cavasson.I then walked to the tack room and got a peppermint for the Appaloosa colt.I walked back to Renegades stall and fed him the peppermint. After giving Renegade a pat on the nose, I put the lunging cavasson and the grooming box back in the tack room.I said goodbye to Katie and told her how renegade was before leaving.I got in my truck and turned it on.I pulled out of the driveway and then drove back home to Timeless Farm.
