Many people that are new to trojans and viruses immediately turn away because their virus detectors detect a virus in the download. The anti-virus programs detect the server and the client part of the trojan. I have to turn off my anti-virus program any time I use SubSeven.

The anti-virus companies do not want people using trojans, so they make all parts of the program subject to detection. The problem with this is that the client part of a trojan could be infected with a trojan itself and a user would not know because he would have disabled his anti-virus program.

As long as you don't run the server, you should be OK. But when you run the trojan, you'll have to disable your anti-virus program.
