well there are different kinda of programming languages. Some are languages that have to be compilled others are scripting languagest that need a interperater, like Perl. Also some are designed to be put in web pages. But i would say the best language right now is C++ a compiling language. Java Script seems to be avery good web programming language. Perl is good for making a quick script and is not to hard to learn. But there are a bunch of bad things about perl as well. If you what to make .exe programs you are gonna need a language like C++ or Delphi. I would say C++ is better, it is the language that back orfice was made out of.
