*.* are wildcards, they mean all. Like if i put in *.exe that would mean all the .exe files regardless of what it starts with. If i put in myfile.* it would mean all files that start with myfile.

Hmm... im pretty sure .iso is a image for a CD. You like download the .iso file and then use it to burn yourself a mandrake install CD. But im not to sure thats what i think, sorry i dont use mandrake.
