Yea it does work with any windows. Its just that when this is done the server has to be windows based. The command prompt program in NT/2000 is called cmd.exe and in win9x/ME its called command.com.

You can do this to any server that does not have its self protected by a firewall. But you can only run internel commands. If you want to no what internal commands are copy files io.sys, msdos.sys,command.com to a floppy and then boot off of it. when you get the dos prompt you will only be able to run internal commands.
