C is pointless to learn it was replaced by C++. C is proubly 7 and C++ is proubly a 8 on the 1-10 hardness scale.
VB is a lot easyer than both C and C++.

From what i no perl and python are similer languages. They both do not make .exe's they make scripts that need a interperater present to run them.

Making a email virus i no it is definatly posible with both C, C++, and VB. Not sure about perl or python, and im pretty sure you cant make a good one with batch file language.

I would say after VB the next best language is delphi, its about a 4 or 5 hardness.

to give you a idea. SubSeven was written in delphi. and that munga bunga brute force program everyone talks about was written in VB.
