Greets guys, nice forums.

But on-topic, I've always found it to be much easier to socially-engineer any password out of the owner rather than to attempt a brute-force. I liked the routine where you would set up an account called something like "password-autobot@hotmail.com" and then trick people into mailing it their passwords in a vain attempt to get someone else's password. I suppose if you needed a specific person's hotmail password, then perhaps brute-force would be the way to go. I would hope that the folks at hotmail would have taken steps to prevent it from the beginning, though. It may work, but brute-force methods tend to leave a pretty big footprint, security-log wise. (Which is why the last thing I personally tried to brute-force was "CoDeZ" back in 87 or so...)
