With reference to Lee's message, fair enough if Rupin's show isn't your thing. However, he's one of the only DJs on PBFM who covers funk, rare groove and disco and you only need to visit places like Jagz in Ascot to see how many people in the local area are digging these styles of music. Get yourself down there - it's a guaranteed good boogie!
For the record, just like Gary Mac and Dave H, Rupin plays U.S. house on his shows...are you really listening? And let's not forget where these styles evolved from in the first place...
Its ALL good!
Peace,
Chris Woods
P.S. Don't worry Rupin, my mum loves your show and thinks you've got a sexy voice!!!

Re: The Groove School -- Rupin, 23:55:41 10/26/01 Fri (NoHost/193.113.119.186)
It's nice to see my show creating so much attention...
It's also good to see these people who don't like it cover their ID's and hide behind false names. It makes you wonder who it really is ?
Well, maybe this message is a test, let's see if this gets onto the message board ?
I haven't slated anyone (unlike "Lee's" message) so this message should pass the moderater no problem.
I see slating is aloud on the message board so in future I'd expect full freedom of speach on this board
Anyway I'd like to take this oppertunity to say a massive RESPECT to the man Chris Woods for keeping it real and voiceing his comments on this board...
Thanks !
Rupin (Daddy Kool of the Groove Skool)
PS - If anyone wishes to make comments on my show, good or bad, I do take notice so please show your ID and show who you are or I'll take it as another PBFM DJ just being jealous and spitefull because their show isn't as good and doesn't draw as much attention not only locally but world wide...
PEACE !!!
The Groove Skool continues..........
12-2pm every Sunday
108 FM

Laura T,
Ok, you're quite right about some of the things you say and also quite wrong about other things.
First of all I'd like to thank you for taking the time to express how you feel, I do read all the messages that refer to my show (The Groove Skool Sundays 12-2pm) and try to respond to them in an open manner. Remember I don't need to make myself look good, it just happens.
May I point out, right now that the message posted under the name of Nicole was NOT written by me. It's a shame you think it was but that's probably because you don't work in the radio industry at all.
Anyway, let's pick up on a few points made by you...
I know sometimes I might sound a bit monotonous as you say or even a bit bored but let me tell you I cirtainly am not. It's not easy sounding chirpy and up for it every Sunday no matter how you feel, sometimes I very tired from the night before or may not be feeling particularly talkative that day. I do love the music and sometimes this is what pulls me through, I think that shows when I'm on the radio. Remember I do make every effort to produce a good show every week and yes I'm always learning along the way so that I can improove.
As far as the use of the word "people" I didn't invent it's use, I suppose I picked it up listening to other shows. Personally I think it's use gives a feel of a lot of people listening, which if you listen every week, there usually is and the show is always quite busy. This speaks for itself, unless you think I also call & text myself on the show to appear more popular when I clearly don't have to.
Thanks for your comments Miss "Radio Industry" and feel free to E-mail me direct by clicking my name on this page.

Oh, look I've just noticed something about the message posted under the name Nicole...
It was written at 12:37 on Sunday 21-10-01
When I'm actually on the radio live !
So there's no way I could have wrote it.
How silly do you feel now ?
Sorry Laura Miss "Radio" there's proof that your accusation is completly unfounded.
Also I'd just like to say a big thanks to Nicole, obviously wrote her message whilst tuned in to The Groove Skool one Sunday...
