Hi Kellie,

I heard you mention that you get those annoying herpes sores by your nose. A lot of people DO call them canker sores and don't even realize they have a herpes virus or how common it is. I also get a break out, though fortunately, not often.

I have learned how to control the unsightly sore that usually develops. As soon as I feel the tingling or itching that announces there's about to be an outbreak, I start applying neosporin. I also am very gentle with the tissues. Recently, with all the allergens in the air, I started sneezing a lot and had to keep using tissues. I started to get that strange tingling, and knew the herpes virus was about to come out of its dormant state so, I tried what I've done the last few times I felt an outbreak coming on, and it stopped before it started. I never got the sore, and the tingling has gone away. I'm still being careful with the tissues just in case I'm not completely home free.

Dr's prescriptions never helped, but the neosporin and being gentle with the nose, did. You may have your own remedy, but I thought I'd share mine.

PS. I really enjoy you on the show. You're witty, of course, but I love your common sense approach, and your ability to "tell it like it is" ... Plus, you tame the guys if they go to crude or mean. Through it all, you seem sensitive to other people's feelings which I admire.

Take care,

Kathy
