Subject: Psychedelic green....

It's that time of year, when the valley I live in takes on the psychedelic green hue, it's so beautiful. Everything is green, valley floor, surrounding snow capped mountains, fresh leaves on trees, tall grass, all green. Mixed in is a riotous color scheme in flowering shrubs, bulbs, and perennials. My yard is tulip central, I have hundreds of tulips in all varieties of colors, even a black tulip which is one of my favorites, fringed tulips, double petaled tulips, and species tulips in every color imaginable...it's a sight to see. Along with the visual beauty I get to enjoy the music of meadow larks, brilliant orange northern orioles, hawks, and western kingbirds. What a gift the natural systems provide, I'm lucky to live where I do and enjoy such lovely things.
