Headed up to Wayne County Saturday night after watching North Penn win the Eastern Region in Allentown (Go Knights).

Not much action Monday, other than the weather (very, very windy and cold w/ snow squalls Monday and Tuesday). Tuesday morning was another story:

9:30 Three doe run past one of our guys and he gets two of them, filling his doe tags. The third one makes it a few hundred yards before a second guy gets her.

10:00 A third guy gets a fourth doe on another hillside as he hikes up onto a ledge.

11:00 A hunter we'll call "BRYAN", frustrated w/ the cold and all of the missed action, takes a break from sitting and gets on the radio to check in w/ the other guys. While complaning about the wind, IN MID-SENTECE, he realizes there are three doe running past him only 20 yards to the left. He drops the radio in the snow, pulls up the rifle up and starts blasting. As the other guys remember it, one second it was "This f'in wind..." over the radio and then pow-pow-pow. While they were wondering what the hell was happening, "Bryan" managed to knock down a decent size doe w/ the second shot. As he hiked up to her, she got up to run so he fired a finisher. Now she's hanging in the garage.

5 doe in 90 minutes, matches last year's tally. But no bucks sighted for second year in a row. Seems fishy.
