Subject: Week 9 Drop/Adds

A little trivia before the drop/adds. Going into this week, there were 4 college football teams who have not given up more than 21 points in any game this year (Texas was the 4th, but gave more than 21 this week). Name the other 3 (answer at end).

T-Men add A. Thomas - RB (CHI) for $3 and drop R. Ferguson (WR) - GB.

D&Z add V. Testaverde (QB)- DAL for $3 and drop C. Rogers (WR) - DET.

Jake Dog add O. Smith (RB) - MIN and K. Campbell (WR) - MIN both for $4 and drop Bengals DEF/K and C. Wilson (WR)- SF.

They say momentum in a game is huge. Look at this sequence in PSU's game today (unfortunately I was there).

After stalling on initial drive of 2nd half (tied at 7-7), PSU punts. NW fumbles punt, PSU recovers on about NW 30. With crowd roaring, PSU coaches think that there is a TV timeout, unfortunately for them there isn't. They have offense huddled on sidelines, realize their mistake, send offense on field with 8 seconds left on play clock. Forced to take timeout (kill any momentum they had).

First down, RB Hunt gains eleven yards, fumbles and NW recovers. Instant replay shows that he was down, PSU gets ball back. Three downs, PSU does nothing and subsequently misses 31-yd FG. Fugly!

Answer to trivia question: Auburn (undefeated), Wisconsin (undefeated), and PSU (2-7).
