Subject: Week 4 Drop/Adds

Before getting to the drop/adds for this week, the following was actually stated by JoePa regarding the last drive of today's PSU game for any of you who watched (may be time for him to hang it up):

Penn State reached the Minnesota 15 with 28 seconds to go in the game, but was forced to call its second time out after Gerald Smith hurt his hand on a reception (was actually good for a 1st down). Two plays later, PSU coach Joe Paterno called a draw play for Austin Scott and the freshman was stopped after a two-yard gain, meaning the Lions had to spend their final timeout.

“I called that [draw], and it was a great call,” Paterno said following the game. “They were dropping out of there and if we hang onto the block Scott would have been in the endzone. We had timeouts, if we didn’t have timeouts it would have been a lousy call, but since we had timeouts it was a brilliant call.”

All of this after stopping Minn on 3rd down forcing a field goal letting the clock run from 3:00 to 2:26 when Minnesota called a time out (at the time PSU had 3 time outs left) and on the drive leading up to the above calling 2 time outs after getting 1st downs.

Week 4 Drop/Adds:

Firecats drop K. Holcombe - QB (CLE) and add T. Couch - QB (CLE) for $3.

Freeland Foo Fighters drop J. Stewart - RB (DET) and add B, Mitchell - RB (NYG) for $3.

Captain Orange outbid FFF in adding M. Anderson - RB (DEN) and drop O. Gary - RB (DET). Captain Orange add E.Parker - WR (SD) and drop D. Northcutt - WR (CLE); awarded player over T-Men with similar bid based on current standings.

T-Men add S. Sharpe - TE (DEN) for $3 and drop T. Calico - WR (TEN).
