Subject: -Menagerie-

-Cryptic steed of muscular red-chestnut appearance surveys lands of his reign, ever-growing 'coterie' of invaluable femmes, and of course, their offspring, very soon to go out into the world and carry on his genes. He had chosen the mares well, indeed, to pass on his bloodline, for 'twas after all any stallion's purpose in life, to ensure more of his lineage would live on beyond his own lifetime. 'Burly' virile trots from his plateau above-ground and heads for gathering of equines below. Reaching adored feminas and foals who were no longer little by their sides steed halts. Suddenly in action, cranium low to turf, neck snaking this way and that toward colt dubbed 'Shahabi', his one male predecessor. Thinking it time to 'boot' adolescent steed from protection of harem virile nips colt's flanks to move him along, chasing young steed from herd. He is on his own now, may start his own herd if he pleases. It is the heir's sole responsibility to do so and pass on treasured genes when his sire is dead. Trotting back to harem steed eyes grown fillies, considering thei fate ... should they choose to stay, they would be welcomed, for they were no threat to masculinie's authority in these lands. Else they should be claimed by another stallion, they could leave.-
