I took a copy of my WHO WAS WHO IN RLDS HISTORY to a friend today who after looking at the entry on Joseph Smith Jr. was quite disappointed in the listing of materials in the bibliography. "All LDS or "anti" - I pointed out the chapter listed from Roy Cheville's THEY MADE A DIFFERENCE, but she (as a member of a restorationist branch) she considered Roy Cheville too liberal.
I would gladly include an "RLDS" written biography - but the Cheville chapter was the only piece I ever found. This was surprising - I never thought about it before, but I don't think anyone from the RLDS tradition has ever attempted to write a Joseph Smith junior biography - am I wrong?
Two things I could include would be (1) Mary Audentia Smith Anderson's ANCESTRY & POSTERITY OF JOSEPH SMITH & EMMA HALE (2)Richard Price's JOSESPH SMITH FOUGHT POLYGAMY.
