Thanks for the reply. I kind of figured that Al would likely be deceased by this time but I wasn't sure. I too, have fond memories, from a bit younger in life, probably in the early 60's time frame. One of my memories is of him at reunion at Brushcreek in southern Illinois, taking a running leap over the strongly burning campfire! As a kid those kinds of things make a strong impression. But I also remember his sermons and his charisma.
Any details you can find will be interesting to me. I am especially interested in his silencing, where he went from Independence, etc.
